HumanOptics at the ESCRS in Lisbon
The European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons invited guests to its annual meeting in Lisbon from 7 to 11 October 2017. The ESCRS Congress offers an ideal platform for sharing international expertise in ophthalmology. This year, too, the HumanOptics team had many interesting discussions with customers and partners and provided detailed information about the extensive product portfolio.
Visitors to the booth received striking impressions in the HumanOptics corporate film, which was presented to an international audience for the first time at the ESCRS. The film invites viewers on a voyage of discovery through the company to show them what lies behind the short slogan: state-of-the-art technology - SUB-NANO RESOLUTION TECHNOLOGY for premium IOLs with brilliant image quality. The detailed insights into all work steps of the different departments, as well as the high safety standards in production and the high standards of the quality management captured viewers’ interest at the booth.
Scientific articles
The diverse scholarly articles on ARTIFICIALIRIS reflect the keen international interest in the globally unique iris implant. Dr. Srinivasan held a course on surgical techniques for the reconstruction of traumatic and congenital aniridia with ARTIFICIALIRIS. Dr. Vossmerbäumer presented surgical techniques for the suture-free fixation of ARTIFICIALIRIS in several videos. In his presentation, Dr. Nuijts' introduced the ARTIFICIALIRIS as a treatment for permanent mydriasis.
Prof. Neuhann presented the outlook for the HumanOptics' innovative product pipeline with the first clinical results of INVIDUA® - a HumanOptics product innovation for individual correction of spherical aberration.
