Quality and safety through certified processes
We clearly define all production steps and check them at regular intervals through external and internal audits. Since all production steps are carried out exclusively in Germany, we retain complete control over each individual phase of the process.
During our optimized and validated manufacturing process, the intraocular lenses (IOLs) undergo multiple 100% inspections. This means that the product quality of each individual IOL is checked and approved multiple times by our employees. This is how we guarantee the quality and safety of our implants.

We are EN ISO 13485 certified. Our quality management is regularly audited, both internally and externally. Our quality management system is certified by TÜV Rheinland LGA Products GmbH.

HumanOptics has recently received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its CUSTOMFLEX® ARTIFICIALIRIS implant for the treatment of aniridia patients. This will also provide patients in the USA with access to optimal treatment for iris defects.
